30-Minute Children's Reiki Session

Service Description

A 30-minute Reiki session is thoughtfully designed for children - providing a calm, supportive space where they can reset and feel safe. Using the traditional approach of Usui Reiki Ryoho, sessions are gentle, adaptable and guided by each child's comfort level. Every child is different, and sessions are adjusted to meet them where they are. Children may lie on a table, sit comfortably, remain close to a parent or move freely throughout Red Pine Reiki's home. Sessions are adapted to meet each child where they are - Reiki can even be shared during play. Reiki is safe and can do no harm. It is the gently laying of the hands in specific positions on or just above the clothed body. The therapeutic touch helps manage emotions and eases physical discomforts by acting on the parasympathetic nervous system which regulates thoughts, feelings, emotions and physical sensations. Reiki services support goals related to emotional regulation and coping skills - helping children and teens navigate big feelings and challenging behaviors. Sessions can assist in reducing anxiety, panic, and stress responses while promoting sensory calming and relaxation. Over time, this may improve a child's ability to settle, rest, and transition more smoothly between activities. Reiki supports general wellness and the development of self-regulation in a gentle, child centered way. Red Pine Reiki offers a supportive space where children can regulate, reset, and feel safe - at their own pace. Sessions are appropriate for infants, children and teens. Younger children's sessions are often more active and interactive. I may gently move about the room with them, offering Reiki as they play, explore and settle in their own time. Sessions for teenagers may naturally grow and extend into 60-minute appointments. Red Pine Reiki is an authorized service provider for the Children's Long-Term Support Program (CLTS) and is listed in the Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services CLTS provider directory. The CLTS Program is a Wisconsin Medicaid Program that provides funding for children with developmental, physical or emotional needs to access supportive services that improve daily functioning, and individual well-being. If you are enrolled into CLTS, speak with our service facilitator about whether Reiki may be eligible for funding.
